Here’s a step-by-step guide to the way solar energy works:
STEP 1 - Installation of PV panels
Photovoltaic (PV) panels are placed on your roof. If possible, the panels will be north facing, north-east or north-west facing so that they are able to capture the most energy possible.
STEP 2 - Collection of solar energy
The solar panels on your roof collect the sun’s radiance during the day. They are made of silicon and only need the sun’s radiance to work, so even on a cloudy day they will still generate power – albeit with lower production than on clear days.
STEP 3 - Inverter
When the sunlight hits a solar cell, its photons are converted into electrons of DC electricity that flow through an inverter, where they are converted into an alternating current (AC) power. This is the electricity that powers your home.
STEP 4 - Power is sent into your home
The converted AC power is then fed into your home, where it will power your lights, heating/cooling, appliances, or anything else that uses electricity in your home.
STEP 5 - Credit for unused electricity
If you produce more power from your PV system than you end up using in your home, the excess power is automatically fed back into the public grid, and you will be given a credit for that contributed electricity by your power company.
STEP 6 - Smart metering
This helps consumers keep track of how much solar power is produced throughout the day. The monitoring system continuously tracks your solar energy production and makes sure your entire system is running correctly. If a problem occurs, the system will automatically notify Eazy Electrical & Solar and we will be in contact with you within 24 hours.
While installing a solar solution is a significant financial investment for homeowners and businesses, it also provides significant savings. We offer our customers a guaranteed return on investment in three years. In addition, we believe that energy costs will continue to rise, which means that your savings could be even higher over the coming years.
Yes, we can help you finance your new solar system from as little as $18 a week, while saving you $50 a week in energy costs.
We are committed to supporting our customers for the lifetime of their new solar solution. We have a 24-hour emergency hotline and can offer regular servicing, maintenance and advice to all our customers.
